Any type of sludge can be sterilized and treated in a sanitary manner mainly to the lengthy sludge retention period and typical sludge temperature of 100o C. For the final product, any residual moisture level is chosen. This qualifies the equipment for the partial drying of sludge to a dry solids content of 35–40% that is required before incineration.

Description

The machine has a heated shaft with rotating heated paddle shafts. Despite not having a transport function, the uniquely formed paddles are made for maximum heat transfer. This results in fantastic temperature management of the product and permits consistent product quality. The product exits the machine at the outlet side via an adjustable overflow.

At the heart of our Paddle Sludge Dryer lies a robust paddle agitator system, purposefully designed to facilitate heat transfer while maintaining an even distribution of sludge. As the sludge slowly travels through the dryer, the agitator’s rotating paddles disperse the material, ensuring every bit is exposed to the drying surface.

Inside the dryer, hot air circulates through the sludge, rapidly evaporating the moisture content. This carefully controlled process ensures that the sludge is efficiently dried while preventing overheating or uneven drying. The result is a significant reduction in sludge volume and weight, making it easier and more cost-effective to handle and dispose of the dried material.
